Page of Cups

The flowers on the Page's outfit are symbolic of growth while the flat surface he stands on is symbolic of being level headed.  The waves behind the Page are symbolic of emotion so while the Page is attempting to appear calm, cool, and like he has it all together, inside is a bit unsettled about things.  This is something that we all experience from time to time.

Taking some advice from the fish, the fish goes with the flow but it can also sense the slightest disturbance and run for cover, if you will.  Perhaps this is an indication that even though we might find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation now, rather than running away from the challenge, now would be the time to face the challenge and deal with the situation.  We just might find that the situation was not as bad as we thought.

Three of Swords, Reversed

The Three of Swords shows us a heart, pierced by Swords in a rain storm, which typically represents brokenheartedness, relationship issues, or even a relationship that might have ended because of any number of reasons.  The clouds could mean that perhaps all of the factors are not known.  Perhaps we're trying to shelter ourselves from the rain rather than attempting to understand why things occurred as they did.

However the reverse position could indicate that the burden of that broken relationship is subsiding or coming to an end - as time passes, the reality of the situation many times can become easier to bear.  Recovering from an ended relationship isn't easy - it's not like a cold that you get over it in two weeks.  There's absence in our own mental, physical, and spiritual plains.

We should allow ourselves to go through a grieving process, the key though is not to stay there.  After a certain amount of time, which can be different for everyone, we should take steps to begin to move on as brighter days are sure to come your way.

Nine of Swords, reversed

The bed should be a place where we can go to rest, relax, and dream away the cares of the world.  Like the flowers on the bed spread, they are symbols of growth, vitality, and even regeneration.

However, sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations that are not our creation - family issues, work issues, as examples.  Where we have a vested interest in seeing people doing the right or positive thing, sometimes this causes us worry to the point that it would keep us awake in the wee hours of the morning.

Thankfully, seasons like this do come to an end, and like the conflictive seen carved at the bottom of this persons bed, the thoughts that race though our head in the middle of the night will end.  Peace and rest will return.

The bed spread has the signs of the zodiac sewn on it - this would remind us that regardless of the situation, we should seek guidance from the Universe - the angels above and it's earthly representatives can provide needed guidance, council, and direction in tough times.
